Open Last Aug. 14, 2024 Very nice experience. Masarap mga coffe nila. Medyo matagal lang yung waiting time kasi sobrang daming tao.
BOS Coffee Maasin is a conveniently located café near the Port of Maasin in Maasin City, making it a practical option for passengers and companions waiting for ferry arrivals at the port terminal. Its proximity to the port is especially useful during delayed schedules, offering a more comfortable place to sit and wait compared to staying inside the terminal. I ordered a café latte priced at ₱165. For the price, the latte did not meet my expectations. The taste was not very good for me, and I have tried coffee from shops outside Maasin that offer much better flavor and quality, even at lower prices. This made the latte feel expensive for what was served. I also tried the dark chocolate donut, which costs ₱95. It was decent as a quick snack, though the price felt high compared to similar items elsewhere. The Wi-Fi connection was good at first and fast enough for basic browsing, but it kept disconnecting after some time, which can be inconvenient if you plan to work while waiting. Car parking is also limited in the area, so it may be challenging for those arriving by private vehicle. Overall, BOS Coffee Maasin is more about convenience and location near the Port of Maasin than value for money. It serves its purpose well if you are waiting for ferry arrivals, but there are better coffee options outside Maasin for taste, pricing, and reliability.
Bos Coffee in Maasin is actually good. The staff are very friendly, the coffee is excellent, and the restroom was clean. It was quiet, and you could charge your phone or laptop there, which is important for relaxing. However, it feels like a waiting room. The atmosphere isn't great. It's a shame. Just adding two or three palm trees would make a big difference! Just a little tip from me.
I was excited to learn that Bo's opened in Maasin. It's a familiar café that's usually found in metropolitan areas. They also also have small plates on their menu. It's my second time here after getting off the ferry from Cebu. They offer breakfast dishes and sandwiches at reasonable prices. Coffee is good with choices of beans from different regions in the Philippines. I'll definitely be stopping by here when I'm in town. It's very clean with comfortably spaced tables and seating. The staff were all great.
Food options were quite limited for vegetarians like me. Though staffs were accommodating to help my meal to become meat free. I love their ginger lemongrass tea. Quite refreshing and made of natural ingredients interestingly. I also love their ambience, it's very spacious, clean, well lit and cozy, quite ideal for biz meetings. If there's anything to improve I think it's to extend their menu options and have separate CR for men and women. Over all it's a place I would want to go back over and again.
A typical Bo's Coffee shop with good coffee. I enjoyed the Portuguese tart called an egg tart in Massin.
The place is near BDO and behind Jollibee. It is quite noisy and not ideal for studying. There are only a few parking spaces, so it's better to use a motorcycle. The drink prices are reasonable, similar to other BO’s Coffee branches. They offer free Wi-Fi upon request.
