I brought my 2021 Chery Tiggo 7 Pro to this location due to an issue with the windshield washer system. Before the actual problem was addressed, I was encouraged to proceed with a PMS (Preventive Maintenance Service) quoted at ₱3,000, even though PMS had no direct relation to the washer system concern I reported. I was then quoted two separate windshield washer pump motors — one described as a "front pump" priced at ₱10,500 and another described as a "rear pump" priced at ₱9,500. When I asked for the part numbers, I was told that the dealership was unable to provide any part numbers, stating that parts are processed only through VIN-based ordering. After leaving MG Cebu Mandaue Showroom, I brought my vehicle to Jiga Mags and Tire Supply, where the car was inspected free of charge. The issue was correctly identified as a failed windshield washer pump. The mechanic clearly explained that this vehicle uses only one washer pump, located under the front passenger-side wheel well, and that this single pump supplies both the front and rear windshield washers. Based on this independent diagnosis, I was able to source the correct OEM-equivalent washer pump myself at a fraction of the price I was quoted at the dealership. Additionally, while at MG Cebu Mandaue Showroom, my fiancée was directly told by one of the staff members that she should have come in without me, because pricing can be higher when a foreigner is present. This comment was made at the MG Cebu Mandaue location, was communicated to me afterward, and I found it deeply concerning. Due to the incorrect technical information provided, refusal to disclose part numbers, the push to add unrelated PMS services, and the contrast with a proper independent diagnosis, I strongly recommend that customers independently verify parts, diagnoses, and pricing before proceeding with any repairs at this location.
