Pit Stop American Style Cafe

Enjoyed most of our stop at the Pit Stop. Food was fantastic and service was definitely not your standard Filipino fare. A single table of drunk guys disparaging women and other Filipino things made the experience not 100% amazing but it is what it is. Had a bacon cheese burger and the onion/mushroom burger, both with cheddar. Patty was thick and juicy and I think would have been even better if grilled but still delicious and came with lettuce, tomato and cucumber. Also had a half kilo of buffalo wings American style. Very ample wings with plenty of meat on them. Hot sauce was straight from the US and like any buffalo wings I would have had back in Canada. Overall a very good experience and prices were very good for the amount of food received. Will be back to try some other items on the menu for sure.

I had all but given up on finding a proper bacon cheeseburger in Butuan… until I stumbled across this gem. This place has been a game-changer during my stay. From the moment I walked in, I could tell it wasn’t just another generic resto trying to imitate Western food—it’s the real deal. The burger? Perfectly seasoned, juicy, with actual crispy bacon (not the flimsy kind). You can tell the ingredients are quality, and whoever’s in the kitchen actually knows what they’re doing. But it’s not just the burger—the whole vibe here feels like a breath of fresh air. Clean space, welcoming staff, the owner was very inviting and friendly. The menu brings serious comfort food energy. If you’re a foreigner missing a taste of home—or just someone looking for something beyond the usual options—this is the spot. Easily the best Western food in Butuan. No question. I will be back again (and again).

Had a great time with friends at Put Stop Cafe I had the Hungryman Burger, one of the Deli Subs and the Chili con Carne. Food was great, it definitely reminded me of items I would eat back home in the US. The burger was definitely my favorite, but I also really enjoyed the Chili and the Sub. Friends got the Salisbury Steak along with a sliced pork beef. They both enjoyed those. I tried a bit of the mashed potatoes with gravy and they were fantastic. Overall, I would definitely recommend Pit Stop if craving American food while in Butuan!

I’ve lived about 40 minutes away for a few years and just found out about this place and wish i did sooner. The food is great and has all of the cravings that are about impossible to find anywhere close to to here. A lot of good stuff that is imported. The food is cooked properly just what you would expect, if not better than some US restaurants. The atmosphere is laid back and inviting, everyone you meet are really cool. Making it a part of my routine to visit often

The best restaurant and bar in Butuan City...Great destination for Expats to meet and have great western style food and drink.

This is a foreigner owned resto bar, the menu caters to foreigners with plenty of filipino dishes as well. A lot of Butuans foreigner community frequent the resto and its a popular spot with locals too. The owner Clifford and Mam Rose do a great job making everyone welcome and the chef gets it right every time. I live 2 hours away and come here just for the roast beef. 😁

Been here many times and it's still the best chicken in town!
