march 2, 2021. brought our unit at Edlan. our main concern was that the ac was losing its coldness after minutes of turning it on. according to them, the evaporator has leak. hence, replaced. DISCLAIMER: our thermostat was very OK and functioning prior. after the replacement and repair one guy told us that the thermostat was already defective and has to be replaced. another ouchy 3500! daw! told will just come back for the thermostat repair. we just need to do manual turning on and off of the ac while in use. today, our neighbor, who is also an ac tech, explained to us that: the compressor wont work if the thermostat is defective. to breakdown the cost of repairs he gave us: - pull down evaporator for cleaning and leak test, freon, vacuum comp. oil = 3000 (when another ac tech said it just costs around 1800) - replace cooling coil front = 6500 will appreciate input/s from another ac tech here! thanks!
take your vehicle somewhere else, these guys will drain your pocket. they don't even know what they're doing most of the time. 32,500 pesos wasted and still not blowing cold air
